We want to design a mission trip to fit your needs. We have people who love the Lord all over the world who are looking to partner with us to reach their respective communities for Christ. This is something that we could do together. Let us know what your expectations and desires are for a trip like this and how we can accommodate you. We know these trips can be great for so many different reasons. They can strengthen the bonds within your team, challenge each person in their relationship with Jesus Christ and broaden their perspective on God’s work in the world, among other things. We want to help you make this a reality for your team. It is our desire, much like yours, to use sports to share the life-changing message of the Gospel. We would love to partner with you to facilitate a mission trip with your team as we aim to do just that.  There are certainly elements of trips that we do that are consistent across the board. However, we also understand that you have specific goals and expectations for your team and we want to be able to discuss those so we can accommodate what you believe the Lord is calling you to do. The information below will give you some ideas about how we do things and give you things to consider and you process this opportunity.

Planning stages

We like to plan for these trips 8-12 months in advance but would be willing to talk with you about your specific team and desire to serve together

Duration of trip

Open for discussion (we traditionally do 1 week, 10 day and 2-week trips)

Open for discussion but are oftentimes driven by the location

Location

We are committed to and have ongoing ministry in Costa Rica, the Czech Republic, Italy, Spain and Zambia, but are open to discussing locations that the Lord has placed on your heart if you have something else in mind.

Team Members

• Your team and desired amount of coaches
• 1 Push The Rock person

Cost (per person)

• Team training (2 sessions)
• Airfare to and from destination country
• Ground transportation in host country
• All food, including breakfast, lunch, dinner and most snacks in host country
• International insurance
  • To be worked out with your institution
• Team equipment (camp t-shirts, game “jersey”, team bag, collared shirt, warm-up top)
• Lodging
• Excursion
• 1 Push The Rock person team leader

Fund Raising

• Materials are given in the team packet to guide the fund raising process, but individual team members and /or the team assume the responsibility of raising the necessary funds
• Push The Rock and your team can work out the logistics of sending out letters and how money is processed for the trip
  • For example, the team can write a support letter and have the funds sent to your institution, which then sends money on to Push The Rock on agreed upon dates
  • Or donors can send the funds directly to Push The Rock and be receipted accordingly

Application Process

• Everyone interested in going on the trip will have to fill out a Push The Rock mission trip application and submit it for review
• Phone interviews will be done with each applicant
• Push The Rock reserves the right to discuss with the coach any applications in question
• It is Push The Rock’s policy that every single team member have a personal relationship with Christ

Training

Two training times for your entire team, done at the following times:

• One soon after the trip is agreed to in order to introduce the trip and ministry
• One a month or two prior to the trip to cover specific trip details

Spiritual Curriculum

• Push The Rock provides a spiritual curriculum for the team, but if you have a specific curriculum you would like to do instead, that is open for discussion
• The Push The Rock representative could lead the “Team Times” (team devotions) each day, but we prefer to split up those duties to let others get involved
