Considered by many to be the “most beautiful city in Europe,” Prague is the capital of the Czech Republic. In conjunction with local church plants and the Czech Baseball Association, we will be running a five day baseball clinic in the city. Our purpose is to partner with these churches in taking the light of Jesus Christ into a spiritually dark place. Imagine living in a place where 70% of the people claim to be Atheists.
This will be our fourth summer returning to Prague where we hope to help these churches build a bridge for the Gospel into their surrounding communities, helping them build relationships with families who get involved via the daily clinics. There will be opportunities to share the gospel message through our verbal and nonverbal testimonies during the clinic. In addition to teaching the fundamental skills of baseball, you will be able to share how a personal relationship with Jesus Christ impacts your life, including how you teach and play the game.
This trip is mainly about teaching the fundamentals of baseball, but we are hoping to play a friendly game or two with some local teams.
We want to enable you to use the gifts and abilities God has given you in baseball to have an eternal impact on those in Prague. We believe this experience will deepen your faith and open your eyes to what God is doing in this particular part of the world.
Team training starts on Thursday, July 5, so you will need to be in Emmaus, PA by then. The team will be returning from the Czech Republic on Sunday, July 15.
