If you feel that the Lord is calling you to ministry and Push The Rock may be where he is calling you, check out this page. We have several current opportunities for you to use your talents in a number of exciting ways. Check frequently we will be adding other opportunities throughout the year

Volunteer Opportunities: We routinely have specific needs for people who are willing to assist us with a variety of activities. Many require very basic skills, require only a little bit of time and often can be done according to your schedule. Other needs require specific skills and experience in a particular area. Complete the Volunteer Resource Form and either send it via postal mail to our office or send the same information in an email to our office. We will contact you when we have a need that matches your skills and availability.

Internship Opportunities: Thank you for your interest in Push The Rock! Whether or not your goal is a career in sports, Push The Rock offers opportunities to understand the inner workings of a professional sports ministry organization. Internships are one way you can get involved and get the experience. We offer a variety of internships, outlined below, that can be tailor-made to what you want and need.

Our desire is to develop and equip you as a leader for service in a ministry environment, whether it be sports ministry related or otherwise. We recognize the importance of each individual's contribution to the success of our organization and look forward to working together to use sports to impact the world for Jesus Christ … ONE life at a time.

As a Push The Rock intern you will be respected and treated as a member of the staff. You will be expected to conduct yourself accordingly. You will have an opportunity to be stretched, challenged and grow as you immerse yourself in various projects and ministry opportunities, of which there is no shortage!

We trust that your experience at Push The Rock will be positive and beneficial to you, your university and Push The Rock. In addition to what your university requires of you, Push The Rock will also expect you to fulfill specific objectives and responsibilities that will be outlined for you.

Outlined below are the four main internships that we offer. Although each of these internship opportunities encompass some of the same responsibilities, they are each uniquely different. They will each come with special projects, but they each have a different focus. The details surrounding each internship, including time frame and specific responsibilities, will be outlined and agreed upon once the application process has been completed.

  1. Semester: A Semester long internship could be completed during the Fall or Spring semester. This internship would involve active participation in all facets of the ministry and would include several major projects, including those required by the university.
  2. Domestic Ministries (camps, clinics, home school program, etc.): A Domestic Ministries internship is usually completed during the summer months (May – August). The summer camps are the key component of this internship and would involve the planning, coordination and implementation of the camps. The Domestic Ministries intern will also have a role in the other Push The Rock programs, including but not limited to, weekend clinics, home school gym class and the USA Juniors volleyball club.
  3. Missions: A Missions internship is generally completed during the summer months (May – August) and could include one mission trip. The intern will be involved in different aspects of that particular trip, including the pre-trip planning and preparation, team training and some leadership on the trip. Follow-up and debriefing will accompany other office responsibilities once the trip has been completed. The internship also entails other day-to-day operations as they pertain to the missions department, including other mission trips.
  4. Administrative: An Administrative internship involves working through the various logistics of running a sports ministry, including experience in financial reporting, general day-to-day operations and marketing.

Applications for all internships are accepted at any time. Candidates will be screened and interviewed based upon overall fit to the internship opportunities. Students are encouraged to complete the application early to expedite the interview and placement process.

Please note that all interns must be in complete agreement with the doctrinal position of Push The Rock
