Italy (06.12.08): Update #1
After months of prayer and preparation, the Italy basketball team is coming together for the first time Thursday night, June 12th. We are excited for what the Lord has in store for us during our two weeks in Italy, which starts with two days of training at a local university. It is always amazing how the Lord brings the team together from different states, backgrounds and experiences for one single purpose … to further His Kingdom. The 11 women and 10 men on the team are headed out June 14th and will be returning June 29th. Please pray for the following things along the way:
- Team unity
- Safety and good health
- Open doors for the Gospel at the daily basketball clinics
- Strong bond between our team and the local church plant
- That God would be glorified in all that we do and say
