Descriptions:
Sportsmanship Challenge: Each morning a Push The Rock staff member will present a specific way in which the campers can demonstrate sportsmanship when playing sports. Our goal is to see the campers applying these challenges in games and competitions throughout the week.
Skill Training Stations: Campers rotate through different stations that help them focus on improving individual skills and concepts. This is a key part of learning proper fundamentals and getting repetition and drills that can be simulated after the camp week.
Team Time: Each Push The Rock coach will spend time with his or her campers presenting a lesson that relates to our theme for the year. This years theme is titled Commitment to Character and is based around the fruits of the spirit. This time each day is a good time for coaches to build personal relationships with campers, and for campers to ask questions in a more intimate setting.
Camp Chapel: Each day a different Push The Rock staff member will present chapel for the entire camp.
Other Key Components:
Gospel Presentation: Each Wednesday a Push The Rock staff member will present the gospel to the entire camp giving the campers the opportunity to accept Christ into their lives.
Play For Christ: Each Thursday a Push The Rock staff member will present a specific challenge to each of the campers to Play For Christ for one year. This is a written commitment where the campers agree to apply the lessons learned during their week of camp to the best of their ability in the games and competitions they compete in throughout the year.
